Rebecca Hope Terry is a multi-disciplinary performer with a performance career spanning over 19 years. As a dancer she has performed with many Canadian contemporary dance companies - 100 shows with Dancemakers alone, one of Canada's finest modern dance companies, with whom she danced for seven years. She frequently performs with Fujiwara Dance Inventions, as well as within her own solo work. Her dance-theatre works have been presented in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edinburgh and rural England. Her performance background helps to support her insight into the physical / soulful components of the body and its relationship to the self. As a teacher she believes that training, ultimately, serves the purpose of providing the dancer with a means to express him or herself, with unlimited freedom.
